Our Heartbeat

Young people are, quite literally, the future. Using the UN's definition of Youths as individuals aged 10-18, these people are in the prime stages of emotional, mental and physical growth, this is a critical time when they are shaping their personalities, likes, dislikes, interests and friendships. This stage of life is over in the blink of an eye and with the busy lives we lead as adults this important time is often overlooked.

But what if Youths in Singapore have potential? What if one day they could be the next Prime minister, Movie star or National athlete? How can we know unless they're given a chance?

Many youths see themselves as too young, too small, too weak, too poor, too insignificant to be counted and cared for. Many feel the start they've had in life means they'll never see success and that there's just no point in trying, they give up hope before they've even begun.

Operation Broken Wing stands for something different. We want to bring the Fight and Heart back to the youths. OBW is a regional charity movement that aims to help many of the youths at risk, orphans and more. These youths are the reason why we are here.

The truth is that YOU can make a difference, no matter how much of an Elite athlete you are or if you've only just begun your Fitness journey. You can make a difference in the lives of others. It all starts with you. You are never too young or too old to take a stand and make an extraordinary impact in the lives of these youths. We say that all the fitness in the World accounts for nothing if we do not extend a helping hand. We believe in empowering these youths through fitness, practical knowledge, skills and more to pursue excellence in life. We truly believe that everyone deserves a chance in life and we're here to to fight for hope for these young people.

We believe in spreading our wings and daring to make a difference. This is who we are, this is our heartbeat, to reach out and make a change. Not only do we raise funds to provide practical assistance to Youths at risk but we also ask them to join us on their own fitness journey and participate in the OBW event to help them understand how powerful working together to make a positive contribution can feel. As Benjamin Franklin once said "Tell me and I'll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I learn"

OBW is more than an event, it's a movement, a movement to stir the hearts of you and I, to step out and up to use our fitness for a cause larger than ourselves. OBW is not just an event to workout together, it is an opportunity to impact the lives of the youths.

Join OBW today and be an athlete, sponsor or volunteer to raise funds for youths at risk.
