CROSSFIT KIDS AND TEENS
What is the age group for CrossFit Kids?
CrossFit Kids classes are broken down into 2 age groups. These are Kids (4 - 10 years) and Teens (11 - 18 years). These age groups are set out as a guide and graduation of a student from one group to the next is dependent on his/her development in CrossFit.
My child already has PE classes / Supplementary activities.
CrossFit Kids & Teens complements your child’s supplementary activities by:
Instilling a lifelong definition of positive body image
Improving cognitive function Reversing prevalent health issues such as obesity
Creating a community of like-minded individuals for support and self-confidence (Kids play/learn better with other kids)
Honing life skills such as focus, perseverance, dedication, motivation, and goal-setting.
How else will Innervate Fitness Kids and Teens help children and teens?
Innervate Fitness Kids and Teens is more than just a fitness programme. It is a community where kids and teens can develop themselves intellectually and socially to become well-rounded individuals. The vision of our programme is to enable your child to be the best they can be and to set them up for success in their future endeavours.
Are kids going to be lifting weights?
The focus of the Kids programme is lifelong fitness through good mechanics of movements paired with fun. Lifting of any weights will only be done in the Teens class (ages 11 - 18), when they can demonstrate good mechanics of movement.
Is studying straight after working out effective?
Yes, it is tremendously effective! Research has shown that there is a one hour window after physical activity where brain activity is at its peak. We believe in capitalizing on this window of opportunity to allow your child to absorb as much academic material immediately after our workouts.
How can I be more involved in the progress of my child?
The success of our programme at Innervate Fitness Kids and Teens relies heavily on the support of parents. The expectations of the child and the roles of the parent will be explained in a form that will be signed upon enrollment.
