FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’ve never really worked out before. Is this actually for me?
Yes. You do not need any fitness background to start here. Every class is coached, movements are scaled, and you move at a pace that suits you. We meet you where you are and help you build from there.
Will I just be thrown into a workout and told to keep up?
No. Every class includes coaching, movement explanation, and options for every level. You will never be expected to copy others or figure things out on your own.
How do I know what to do in the gym? Is there a fixed program to follow?
There is a structured program that all members follow. You do not need to plan anything yourself. Coaches guide you through the session and adjust the program to suit your ability, experience, and goals.
I’ve done group training before like Fitstop, BFT, or REVL. How is this different?
Most gyms focus on following the workout. We focus on coaching the movement.
At Innervate, coaches actively teach technique, adjust loads, and guide progression so you understand what you are doing and why. You are not just burning calories. You are building strength, skill, and fitness that lasts.
What does a typical class look like?
Classes include a guided warm up, a skill or strength focus, followed by a workout. Coaches are hands on throughout, helping you move better and train safely.
I’m worried about getting injured. Is CrossFit safe?
Safety comes first here. We prioritise proper mechanics and controlled progress before intensity. Movements are scaled and loads are adjusted so training stays effective and sustainable.
How is this different from a regular gym membership?
You are not training alone or guessing what to do. Every session is coached, programmed, and guided. You train with structure, accountability, and support instead of wandering between machines.
How do you measure progress if everyone is doing different versions of the workout?
Progress is measured through strength improvements, better movement quality, consistency, and benchmark workouts over time. Coaches also check in regularly so you know how you are improving beyond just numbers on a scale.
What if I’m not as fit as everyone else in the class?
That is completely normal. Everyone trains at their own level even though the class moves together. You will never be judged or compared. Progress looks different for everyone.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. Everything you need is provided. Just bring yourself, comfortable clothes, and a willingness to try.
Can I try before committing?
Yes. You can start with a trial pass and attend any class during the week to experience the coaching and community firsthand.
Do you have Open Gym Access?
Yes. We do have open gym access but it is only available for monthly and quarterly memberships. For that matter, our open gym access is close to 24/7 for members!
SILVERS
I’m over 55 and have never trained before. Is the Silvers Program suitable for me?
Yes. The Silvers Program is designed specifically for older adults 55 and above, including those with little or no fitness experience. Movements are functional, safe, and adapted to support daily living.
What actually happens in a Silvers class?
Classes focus on posture, balance, strength, and mobility using simple functional movements. Sessions are coached closely, paced appropriately, and structured so everyone feels supported.
I’m really quite frail and some movements look scary. Can I still participate?
Absolutely. Movements are always adapted to your ability. If something feels intimidating, we adjust it. You will never be forced to do anything you are not ready for. Safety and confidence come first.
Do I train with people around my age?
Yes. Silvers classes are group based and designed for people with similar abilities. Many members find the community aspect just as valuable as the physical training.
Is this CrossFit too intense for seniors?
CrossFit is scalable. In the Silvers Program, intensity is appropriate and controlled. The goal is strength, confidence, and independence, not exhaustion.
Who coaches the Silvers classes?
Our coaches are experienced in working with older adults and understand how to progress movement safely while respecting individual needs and limitations.
