WHAT IS CROSSFIT

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning programme that uses constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity to increase an individual’s work capacity across broad time, age and modal domains, thereby forging elite fitness.


Now that was a mouthful.


Although no effort has been spared to define CrossFit in an accurate, careful and detailed manner, the best way to define it would be to experience it for yourself. CrossFit is many things to many people – a fantastic community of inspirational characters, a highly effective training programme, a place to let loose and for some, an opportunity to redefine themselves for the better. Ultimately, it is a stage for people from all walks of life with different aspiration and struggles, to unite with a common purpose.


And therein lies the beauty of CrossFit. Your personal experience and goals become completely intertwined with that of those around you. Their success becomes your success and their battles become your battles. You get to see people at their most raw and vulnerable state and you add value to their lives in ways you never imagined you could.


You inspire a positive paradigm shift in all those you encounter. You bring out the best in them and they bring out the best in you. Your community and your shared experience becomes the highlight of your day. Together, you push past self-imposed boundaries and drive towards excellence.
